Now Available at California Dental Arts

California Dental Arts is expanding its digital offerings with the introduction of Ivotion®, an advanced monolithic disc system from Ivoclar designed for efficient, precise fabrication of complete dentures. This innovation integrates both the tooth and denture-base materials into a single disc, allowing a full denture to be milled in one continuous process.

A Streamlined Digital Workflow

Ivotion supports a fully digital workflow from scan to finish. The system eliminates traditional steps such as impressions, model fabrication, and tooth setup. Instead, the denture is designed digitally and milled directly from the Ivotion disc using CAD/CAM technology. This process reduces manual intervention, shortens production time, and enhances reproducibility across cases.

Material Integration and Performance

Each Ivotion disc combines a high-impact denture base material with a high-cross-linked PMMA tooth material that are co-polymerized during manufacturing. This creates a strong, durable bond between the layers—without the need for adhesives. The result is a dense, homogenous denture that offers excellent esthetics, mechanical strength, and wear resistance.

Clinical Benefits for the Dentist and Patient

  • Precision and consistency: Digital design and milling ensure accurate adaptation and predictable occlusion.

  • Efficiency: Fewer steps reduce chair time and turnaround, improving practice efficiency.

  • Esthetics: The pre-shaded material and tooth-base integration deliver natural, lifelike results.

  • Versatility: Suitable for conventional, implant-supported, and immediate dentures.

Integrating Ivotion at California Dental Arts

As part of our ongoing commitment to digital dentistry, California Dental Arts has implemented the Ivotion system to support clinicians seeking a reliable, fully digital approach to complete dentures. Our technicians are trained in digital design and Ivotion milling protocols to ensure optimal fit, function, and esthetic outcomes.

Dentists can now submit digital impressions or intraoral scans directly, and our team will manage the complete workflow—from design verification to finished restoration.
